The Department of Biochemistry, one of the most vibrant and premiere biochemistry departments in the country, was established in the year 1983. One of the commendable contributions of the department has been the creation and sustenance of a rigorous, dynamic and vibrant master’s program in biochemistry that imparts conventional and new knowledge in an innovative manner, which ensures that fresh, young minds are trained and oriented to create newer knowledge in turn.
